Barkin Parlour Dog Salon ("we", "us") is a dog grooming salon at 41 Granny Road, Farmingville, NY 11738. This page explains what information our website collects, why, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
When you fill out our new client registration form, you share:
- Your name, mobile phone, email, an emergency contact number and who may pick up your pet
- Your pet's name, breed, age, weight, sex, description and vaccination dates
- Medical details, temperament and any special instructions
- How you heard about us, whether we may share photos of your pet, and your signature
When you call or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
How we use it
- To groom and care for your pet safely, and to know about health or behavior needs
- To contact you about appointments, pickup or an emergency
- To post photos of your pet on our website or social media, only if you said yes on the form
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How the registration form is handled
When you submit the form, our website turns it into a PDF and emails it to our salon inbox. The website itself does not keep a copy in a database. We keep the email with your client records for as long as you are a client, or until you ask us to delete it.
Website visits
- Visit counter. Our web developer's visit counter records which pages are viewed and the site that sent you, and reports broken pages or errors so they can be fixed. It uses no cookies, and nothing typed into a form is ever sent to it.
- Pup of the Month voting. Your vote is saved only in your own browser so you can't vote twice. It is not sent to us.
- Google Maps and Google Fonts. Our map and fonts load from Google, so Google receives basic technical information such as your IP address, under Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting. Our website runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Children
Our website is meant for adults booking grooming for their pets. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also tell us at any time to stop sharing photos of your pet.
